Shawn Burke: ASEA is the Real Deal

by Mike on March 1, 2012

ShawnBurkeShawn Burke of Post Falls, Idaho has added ASEA to his training regimen for the last five months. He is the real deal, a 51 year-old Ironman triathlete who, for the first time in over a decade, is enjoying all the rewards of is life-style and none of the pain.  Shawn has been training and racing for more than 25 years, but this has been one of the best years of his life!  He has qualified for two separate national events, raced an Ironman and a Half Ironman in a single season, completed a half marathon with his personal best time, and come in first place in his age group at three separate events.

All of his hard work is not without its trials, first and foremost being long recovery times.  Shawn believes that ASEA has made that a thing of the past.  He participated in the Ironman Coeur d’Alene and finished almost an hour faster than his previous time. This Ironman race included a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride, and a 262. mile run! Walking away he felt amazing, with no need for his usual post-race massage.  Shawn was “back to work 48 hours later and back to training within 72… all with no soreness!” What a benefit for such an active athlete.

Shawn has remained injury-free and healthy for the entire season, “a first for my racing career.” Along with these other benefits he has found that he is sleeping better than he has in a decade. ASEA has lifted Shawn to new heights. “My Training is no longer being controlled by the fatigue and soreness of my body. I am now able to train by the determination of my mind.  This is a whole new level of training for me.”

Ironman Athlete: ASEA as I know it

by Mike on July 1, 2011

by Devan Tandy

Devan1My brother, Mike, asked me to try ASEA over a year ago. At that time I had no idea what it was or what it could do for me. Mike told me ASEA would help my racing performance in triathlons. I am a triathlete, and I am always looking for the next legal supplement to give me that extra oomph to shave seconds off my time and kick my opponents assess! So I told him I would give it a shot.

I’ll tell you what I was expecting. I was expecting a shot of adrenalin, a burst of energy. Like something you feel after drinking a Red Bull or taking gobs of caffeine. ASEA did not do any of this when I started taking it. So naturally I thought to myself “this stuff doesn’t work”. I told Mike that ASEA was doing nothing for me. He said give it some time and be patient. I am not a patient person! I want results now, not in a few months. Mike was supplying me so I thought it wouldn’t hurt to keep taking it.

St. George Ironman is said to be the toughest Ironman course in the world. TheDevan2 bike elevation gain is over 4,000 feet and then the run elevation gain is over 2,000 feet. A daunting task to say the least. I completed the St. George Ironman in 2010 with a time of 10:45:38 placing 6th in my age group (25-29), 77 overall out of 1878 and missing the World Championship by one spot. I wanted to improve my time and qualify for the World Championship in 2011. This year I moved up an age group, (30-34) making it more competitive and harder to qualify. I was up for the challenge. I started my training in January. Mike gave me a case of ASEA to take while I was training and preparing for the race. Like I said before I did not notice anything right away. What I did notice was, I wasn’t as sore after hard training days. I was able to recover faster and have harder back-to-back training days. I felt great. I wasn’t getting sick training in the winter. Things were going as planned.

I raced St. George in May and finished with a time of 10:11:31. Cutting 34 minutes and 07 seconds from 2010. I finished 12th in my age group and 59th overall. Unfortunately once again I did not make the World Championship, but I was very satisfied with my results. That was a huge improvement over one year.

ASEA was not the only thing I change that year so I can’t give ASEA sole credit for my improvements. I changed coaches and bought a new bike prior to racing. I know ASEA didn’t hurt me. I felt great after the race and was able to recover quickly. I was able to race again 4 weeks later and place 5th overall at the Salem Spring Sprint.Devan3

I wanted to qualify for some World Championship if it wasn’t the full Ironman might as well be the Half Ironman Championship in Vegas. I signed up for the Boise 70.3, which was on June 11th. I continued to train and take ASEA. I was nervous that this race was to early after the Ironman and hadn’t fully recovered yet. I decided to give it my best shot. I ended up finishing 04:33:22, 6th in my age group and 58th overall. I ended qualifying for the 70.3 World Championship in Vegas.

I believe ASEA helped me recover and race to my full potential. I don’t know all the science behind ASEA and how it works at a cellular level. I do know I felt a difference. I will continue to use ASEA to help me race the best that I can.

Inside Lacrosse Magazine Reviews ASEA

by Mike on June 14, 2011

Previously we shared with you a stunning review of ASEA from nationally recognized Road Bike Action Magazine.  Today Editors from yet another prominent magazine that reviews products for serious athletes have taken a look at ASEA and published a review.  Again one of the cornerstones of the ASEA experience for athletes is Recovery!

ILReview

Here is some of the best of what they had to say!

“I have become strangely addicted to it. People around the office give me a hard time when I break out my ASEA spray bottle before an intense editorial meeting.” – Ryan Rabidou

Post-Workout: “This is where Asea shines. I was rarely sore the next day after taking it (soccer, running, weight-training), when I normally would have been. Definitely effective for muscle recovery.” – JJ

“The next day I didn’t feel nearly as sore, especially after climbing. 6/10″ – RR

ASEA Athletes: Craig Stanton

by Mike on February 24, 2011

My name is Craig Stanton I live in Long Beach California.  I am on the road 283 days a year. I race cars for a living, I coach, I have over 80 clients that I see throughout the year. I do a lot of product testing and development for Mercedes, Porsche, AMG, Michelin etc..

CraigStanton3I might be in the car for anywhere between 10 and 30 minutes five to six times per day.  So I have got to get myself mentally and physically up, ready to go and then give my best effort and then recover.  That’s with good food, good water and that’s where the recovery comes in, to get myself regenerated back again for the next session.

ASEA has been  good for me because I am able to fully recover on the cell level.  When I go to my nutritionist, when I go to my doctors they are always talking about “on the cell level” and that’s were ASEA works.  So we are regenerating, we are completely rebuilding, it happens when I am sleeping it happens early in the mornings.  I take it twice per day.

I am seeing a difference on a mountain bike, I am seeing a difference on my backyard climbing wall. I am seeing a difference when I surf and when I get in my car on a day to day basis.  Its super hot, its super physical, and it’s super mental.

Knowing that I can bring my A+ game to the event – non negotiable is excitingCraigStanton1 for me.  That’s true passion, that’s what ASEA is helped me doing is being able to go wow I am showing up, I am the man, I am going to go to the front and I am going to win a championship. I am going to work hard for my team, I am going to work hard for my co-driver.

That gives me the ability to go wow, I am going to be able to be in the sport for another five to ten years. I can make a difference in peoples lives. I can go from day to day and go you know I am not going to get sick I am going to recover. I am going to be able to do my best job I have ever done tomorrow and I am only getting better! That’s exciting, that changes lives right there.  That’s powerful for me, that’s knowing that ASEA has made a difference in my life.

What does Redox Signaling mean to you?

by Mike on January 7, 2011

Powers up Aerobic Performance

Molecule

As the energy requirements of the cells and tissues increase during aerobic activity, oxygen and sugars in the blood must be able to be transferred from the lungs and energy stores into the muscle cells and tissues. Waste products like CO2 and excess lactates must be transferred out of the cells and tissues and back into the blood and out of the body. The efficiency at which the cells can move oxgen fuel and waste products back and forth through the blood and cellular membranes determines how long the body can sustain aerobic activity. When the oxygen and energy demands of the muscle tissues exceed the ability of the body to maintain adequate delivery, the muscle cells and tissues start to burn internal energy stores anaerobically (without the use of oxygen), waste products (CO2 and lactates) start to build up and further interfere with the aerobic processes. When the internal energy stores of the muscle cells are exhausted, no more energy can be provided and muscle activity ceases completely.

Increasing the amount of balanced redox signaling molecules in the body helps normalize the redox potential in and around the cells and tissues. A balanced redox potential in the tissues increases the efficiency at which oxygen, fuels and wastes can be transferred in and out of cells and tissues, making the natural aerobic processes more efficient. If aerobic capacities are increased, then the natural length of time that aerobic activity can be sustained under high energy demands is also increased. The time that it takes to recover normal aerobic balance after an intense anaerobic effort is also shortened.

ASEA Athletes: Patty Smith

by Mike on December 17, 2010

Hi I am Patty Smith, I am a mother of three children.  Fifteen, thirteen and ten and half.  I am very busy actively running around with them.  I am fortunate enough that I get to play tennis and play beach volleyball and exercise pretty much on a regular basis.

I started taking ASEA pretty much straight away once I was told about it I started taking it.  I play tennis with girls on Tuesday, we usually play for a couple of hours and it is really fun.  Lots of times I would be done because I was tired and I didn’t want to risk getting injured because I am forty seven years old.

PattySmith1After I started taking the ASEA I noticed I  didn’t quit because I was tired I quit because I had a time constraint or everyone was done  because they had to leave or they had to be someplace, or I sometimes I just bored and I needed something else to do.

I also have noticed when I have gone to the gym I would walk on the treadmill or do the elliptical, I have noticed that I can do that with a lot more gusto.  I can run on the treadmill and then I can go do something else. I am not feeling tired after I am doing my athletic activity which is great!

PattySmith2The other day I was dropping of my youngest son at his baseball practice and it was at the High School. The baseball field is here and the track is here and I thought you know what, I am going to run. I am not a runner I was a swimmer. I was always worried about my knees.  I went and I ran the track for half and hour to forty minutes. Sinjin says to me, “you shouldn’t be running you’re a swimmer you shouldn’t be running”.  I said, “no I felt great. I felt like I could go around the track and go around the track and go around the track”. He replies, “well you better take more ASEA when you get home”. I said “of course I will take more ASEA”.

The next day I was fine, I felt no ache, no pain, I felt great!

ASEA Athletes: Kathy Jarvis

by Mike on November 30, 2010

Hi, I am Kathy Jarvis and I have been a professional stuntwoman for the past sixteen years.  I am also a race car driver running late model cars out there with the big boys.

Everything I do I am up against the top guys in the country and to stay with them and to stay focused and to stay in those arenas I turn to ASEA. It balances me, its natural and it keeps me on my game so I can be competitive with all the guys out there.

Kathy Jarvis1

I have had a lot of stress and tension in my upper kneck and head.  Driving these cars and wearing the helmets and the G-forces that we are putting on often give me stress.  I had a friend call me that has been working with me and working with my health and helping me stay balanced and asked me how I was doing and how my stress levels were and how my tension was doing.  I said you know what I don’t think I have had any in three and a half weeks.  He said are you racing? I said yes I am and that was my ah-ha moment.  I then went off ASEA and then went back on it and realized that it is the ASEA that was making the difference for me.

I was very thankful to find ASEA because it’s naturally made in the body.  I am not putting anything foreign in my body with ASEA. It is what my body would normally make and it’s helping me boost it to a natural level that I normally could not get, especially in the environment from racing to stunts where we might not be getting the best nutrition.Kathy Jarvis2

I want to continue to do stunts and stunt coordinate as long as I can.  ASEA is really going to be a great product for me to continue on with that. From the cellular level, keeping me focused, keeping my stress down. I am really excited to have found the product and to have been introduced to ASEA. I am so thankful for it because it will mean that my longevity and my career will last longer. I will be able to stay in the game and I will be able to make the money and I will be able to have a career at lot longer  than I normally would because of ASEA.

ASEA Athletes: Kristin Sunderhaft

by Mike on November 15, 2010

I am Kristin Sunderhaft. I am an LPGA golf professional in Las Vegas.  I have been teaching and playing golf for over 15 years.

Through the years I have developed various athletics injuries.  I would call it “stiffage”.  I had also played quite a few other sports during my younger days.  A lot of softball, a lot of basketball even lacrosse.  So with those sports I have done a lot of damage to my body.

As a golf professional I am on my feet all day long. Teeing the ball up for my students.  It would take a toll on my body.  Typically the next morning I would wake up and be very, very stiff, or even that evening be very stiff.

KristinSunderhaft1

Since I have been drinking ASEA I don’t have that stiffness anymore. I definitely feel as though now I am going to be able to teach golf forever. Golf is a game that you can play forever so I want to be able to teach it forever as well.

The other thing I have noticed with ASEA is I definitely have more energy throughout the day but also on the golf course.  Typically I would crash after nine holes.  I would take the sports pouch out with me and if I feel like I am starting to crash or I feel like I might be getting a little frustrated I will just take a couple of shots of the new sports pouch and I definitely have more energy and better focus.

I can’t imagine not having ASEA.  I take it everyday.  I take two ounces in the morning and two ounces in the evening.  I spray it on my sun damaged skin. I honestly can not imagine not having ASEA in my life.

ASEA Athletes: Cindy Lampee

by Mike on October 7, 2010

I am Cindy Lampee and I am a stay at home mom.  I have been a runner for about eighteen years. Just recently I got into triathlons after running four marathons in just under two years.

After four weeks of being on ASEA I ran a 10k and I had a personal record and  I had a negative split. Which means that I ran the second half faster than the first half.  Which was something I had been trying to achieve for two years and had been unable to accomplish.CindyLampee1

The next race was two weeks later and it was a 10 mile race. I also set a personal record and I knocked 14 minutes off a previous 10 mile race that I had just run 3 months earlier.

I run with a group and I have noticed that during my runs after two or three miles of warming up that I am getting faster and I feel stronger and I end up running ahead of the group and I finish before the group.

CindyLampee2

My recovery time is quicker.  Recovery, for a busy mom is very important because I can’t rest after a long run. I have children to take care of and I have to keep going.  As an athlete it is important because you have your runs and your trainings the next day, your bike rides are slim.  It just makes you stronger for the next workout.

I can not imagine training without ASEA.  I take it before every training run and before every race I have ASEA with me and I will drink 4 to 6 ounces about 20  minutes before the race.

I will never run without ASEA again!

ASEA Athletes: Sinjin Smith

by Mike on September 16, 2010

My name is Sinjin Smith I am a Beach Volleyball World Champion and Olympian and commentator now.  I run camps and clinics for kids up and down the California coast and all over the country.  I really have not been able to get away from the sport of beach volleyball.

BeachSinjin Smith3 volleyball you know is a very difficult sport. You are out here trying to move around in the sand, which is not very forgiving. Well it is to some degree because if you fall your not going to get hurt but trying to go anywhere is very difficult trying to jump is very difficult.  You are covering a large course, a course that six people would cover indoors.  The sport of beach volleyball can be a very very difficult sport.

I have been searching my whole career, 25 years, for a product that would help me perform. That was obviously legal as well because I was playing internationally and I have played in the Olympic games.  This was something that I was very skeptical about. So I said ok I want to try this and see how it affects me. If they tests they have already done are so successful what would happen if I tested on myself?  Even though I am not the athlete that I was 10, 15, 20 years ago.  Still I know what it is like when I push myself today and how it feels.

So I ran the stairs up in the canyon. I know I can do a certain number of times and I know the way I feel afterwards. So I did it, then I ran a few more. I felt Sinjin Smith pretty good. So I said ok, if I feel that good I am going to push myself even  harder and see how things go. I ran a few more sets and I come down and normally my legs are shaking and they weren’t shaking.  I thought well that’s odd, I will just wait until tomorrow because the next day I can barely walk, normally when I do that kind of a workout.

The next day I felt pretty good. I wasn’t limping around when I walked, I was feeling pretty darn good.  That’s when I knew this product is very special.  The claims they have been making and the tests they have doing were real!

Sinjin Smith2

So ever since then I have been telling all my friends and athletes and people about the product because I have never seen anything like it.  I want to be able to do things as closely as the way I used to do them years ago. The only way I have been able to do that is through this product.

It has allowed me to train harder, recover better and have better overall health. So even though my career is long over I still receive these benefits.

ASEA Athletes: Alli Bills

by Mike on September 13, 2010

My name is Alli Bills, I am a Division I women’s basketball coach.  I have played college basketball and professionally and I have been coaching for twelve years.

When I was introduced to ASEA I was very impressed with the three components of endurance, recovery and repair.  As well as the visible results we saw through the VO2max testing. VO2max testing has allowed us to see something we haven’t seen in other products.  Because of that it is going to change the athletic playing field in College, Olympic and Professional Athletics.

It’s not an energy drink, it’s an endurance product. Which is completely different.  With an energy drink there is a high and there is a low. With an endurance product there is not ever a low. It’s just effective during exercise.

AlliBills

Personally I have had fourteen knee surgeries. It’s absolutely changed my life and allowed me to do the things that I love to do.  Having been an ex-athlete I continue to stay competitive. I try to pretend that I still have what I used to have.  I love to compete but I have been limited with fourteen knee surgeries.  I have had three ACL’s and several others that have followed.  I have had to be careful of the things that I have done and how much I have done.

Since I have been on ASEA I have found that I am able to go out day after day and do the things that I love to do. Do it hard, do it intense and compete at a level that I remember competing at.  It has been great!

ASEA Athletes: Bob Brown

by Mike on September 10, 2010

I’m Bob Brown. I am a professional stuntman. I am a member of Brand X Action Specialists.

To be a stuntman today is really technically challenging and physically challenging. Your just like a professional baseball player, football player. You might be working weeks on end on a picture. You might be doubling Tom Cruise or somebody who is doing a really hard core action movie or Arnold Schwarzenegger or somebody like that.  Well their stunt doubles are doing the stunts are stepping in when you have to get hit by a car or jump off a building or dive through a window.

So to survive a movie that may take up six to eight months of your life you have got to figure out a way to stay healthy. Your body just overall takes a beating. To sustain recovery for extended weeks and months, ASEA has changed it.  I really feel that I get up the next day and I am ready to go, my energy is back.

BobBrown

It didn’t like “boom” hit me all at once, right. But once I started feeling it I starting saying “hey” I am doing this extra run at the end of my run.  I am adding on to it. I am at the Gym, I am ready to stay there. I could stay there for half the day.

I finish up my work out two weeks ago, I finished up a workout where I should be dead. I got done with the workout I had my kid show up who plays basketball, and played basketball for two and half hours. I don’t know if I could have done that a month prior to that.

I can sustain my energy after I have exuberated a lot of energy.  It really works!

After 50 years of training and doing stunts everything is working still. If you are spending that many years training any professional athlete will tell you that you know your body.  You know even a certain drink or a particular meal you really know and you are in tune with your body. I know now that ASEA is a part of my life for the rest of my life!
