My name is Antony Galvan I am the current California masters state criterium champion.

There is a really big race that happens every year at Manhattan Beach Grand Prix. I have won it the last three years in a row.  This year I was going after number four. I was very pumped for it. About three weeks prior I was doing a race on the other side of the country and had a horrible crash.  It put me in bed, I got a bad infection, I was on antibiotics, I couldn’t do anything.

The last week of those three weeks of doing nothing a friend turned me onto ASEA.  I started taking it twice a day.  That was the only thing I did, I didn’t ride my bike…Nothing! I came out and I won for the fourth year in a row. The biggest race of the year.

Days are ticking off, I’m seeing there is a counter there is my race.  I missed two weekends of racing being back here that would have used as my prep. Everything is going out the window and I am just like “I am not going to be able to pull this off”  Then to come within three days before the race I got on my bike. I got on my bike three days!  The only thing I had done for a week prior was take ASEA.  That was my training.

I couldn’t have found it at a better time, I am five week out from nationals and I am going to Portugal for Worlds.  There is some big stuff coming up and this is absolutely going to be part of my protocol.

JamesLawrenceWhen triathlete James Lawrence first tried ASEA, it was a true test—he was already in great physical shape. “It’s a little different going into it in peak condition. Of course, an unhealthy person is going to feel a change. But for me, it’s hard to tell slight differences,” James says.

In fact, at first James didn’t believe a word of what he was being told about ASEA. So he didn’t just rely on waiting to feel a difference. He went over to the local university to do a VO2 Max test. Then he used ASEA for six weeks and went back. “I went at a steeper incline and a faster pace, and did it with a lower heart rate,” he marvels.

James is going for a world record: completing more Ironman 70.3 competitions in one calendar year than anyone in history, and he’s doing it to raise awareness and funds to build water retention dams in Kenya.

Olympic/Ironman Triathlete; Personal Trainer

After my second serving of ASEA, I knew something amazing was happening. I typically woke up every day at 8:00am and went to bed at 10:00pm like clockwork. After the first few days of taking ASEA, I started going to sleep around 11:30pm and waking around 6:00am. I am getting much less sleep but the next morning I am never tired (pretty impressive considering I do a mini triathlon every day in training). After three days, I noticed that around 3:00pm (the usual time I have to drink a cup of coffee) I took my powder form multivitamin and I felt it kick in just as if I drank a double shot espresso.

Those were just a few of the initial benefits I noticed. After about a week of using ASEA, things really started to get fun. For example, one day I told my wife I was going to go run my usual 3.1-mile route and I’d be back for dinner. I did that 5k in 18:30. Not only was that 30 seconds faster than I have ever done it, but to start right up into a full sprint with no warm-up miles impressed me. I walked back into my house, took a sip of water, looked at my wife and said “I have to go back out.” I went back out on a fast pace run, and though it started raining, I didn’t care. I had to run. When I cam back in soaking wet, my wife said, “How far did you run?” I had run an amazing nine additional miles! I felt great and the next day I was not sore like I should have been after a fast 12.1 mile run. I completed the nine miles in an hour and three minutes, which was faster than I ever imagined being able to complete it.

I also noticed other benefits during the first Olympic duathlon of the season. During the race, I was the overall leader in the first three mile run. Then, on the bike, four athletes passed me. But as soon as I finished with the 25 miles and put my running shoes back on, playtime was over. I passed three of them right out of the gate. I looked down in the final 2 to 3 miles of the 6-mile run and I thought my heart rate monitor was going to say 92-95% of max. I know that is all I can hold before I start fading fast.

Well not today! I was pushing 101% the entire way to the finish line, and I felt like I was jogging. I am more than impressed by what I experienced. I came in 2nd place overall. In previous races I never broke the top 100. Also, the last time I completed an Olympic Triathlon my finish time was 2:55. That day it was 2:08:55! I recommend ASEA to every person I meet because it can do so much for everyone, not just athletes. I am a life long CAT4 criterium racer who at best has been a middle of the pack, hang on for your life, hope to get my heart rate down and finish racer. But not any more. I am now able to help dictate the speed and pace of a race.

Cycling Racers 3023> During a race I found that I was able to lower my heart rate much faster than before. Before ASEA I would get my heart rate up to 186 bpm, and find it next to impossible to get it back down as I slide to the back of the peloton. But now I find that after a big effort on the front of the peloton I can get my heart rate back down around 50% faster than before. In the last crit race I did I was able to attempt to breakaway three times (yeah, they caught me every time, but that is another story for another time) and still recover and flush the lactic acid out of my screaming legs while still in the top 15 of the peloton.

The VO2 max measurement is generally considered one of the best indicators of an athlete’s cardiovascular fitness and aerobic endurance. It is the maximum volume of oxygen that that an person can use in one minute during sustained maximum exercise.
